In the evening we're brought to Durian burung or now name as Kota Putra. Last time well known for it's sugar cane plantation producing Padang Terap Sugar. Now is replace with other plantation such as Papaya and watermelons. The New entry point or also called Immigration and Customs Quarantine (ICQ) connect Malaysia to Thailand making all together 4 main Entry point namely Padang besar in Perlis, Bukit Kayu Hitam in Kedah, Rantau Panjang in Kelantan and now Kota Putra also in Kedah. Sill undergoing construction on the Thai side ours is already equipt with beautiful building. There usually Customs to check the goods brought in and out of malaysia, Immigration to check on the immigrants and the emigrant (the person), and the Health section in-charge of the disease going cross the borders. Health post in Kota Putra will consist of 4 section which are Food Safety and Quality Control (FSQC) (which is active now) International Health, Communicable Disease Control (CDC), and Pharmacy unit. Currently only the FSQC is functioning as the only individual crossing the border as the entry point is just launch at 20th of January 2010.
